This Week At Altitude
Strength Cycle Week 3
Monday
Strength is the focus right now and we’re down to sets of 6 front squat today. Spend the time to increase weigh from our previous weeks. We’ll have a fun but challenging KB complex to follow with some bike sprints involved to hit the lungs.
Tuesday
Strict press with bent over rows will be our big chunk of work today, getting heavier with these should feel good after a couple of higher volume weeks. Conditioning involves mostly rowing and carries.
Wednesday
Stamina is our mid week sweatfest of cardio focused work. We use this to maintain aerobic capacity and flush the body out from the heavy lifting days.
Thursday
Today is IWT so we change gears into some short and fast sprints with power cleans, echo bike, and thrusters and jump rope.
Friday
Strength is deadlifts today, sets of 6 as we wind down the 3rd week of this cycle. Pay attention to what you’ve been doing for weight and try to add small amounts each week. Conditioning is a series of DB work and shuttle sprints.
